Karen Divine was introduced to photography in the early 70’s and went on to study painting, drawing and alternative photographic processes. After learning Photoshop in 2001 she began creating the images she imagined using just photos and in the past two years transferred that process to the iPhone. While learning to create a beautiful single image is crucial to being a fine art photographer, the multi-image is what speaks to her heart. She tells her stories by compositing seemingly random images and watching them evolve. She has won numerous International Awards including Discovery of the Year with the International Photography Awards in NYC 2011, First Place in Florida Museum of Photographic Arts, Eyephonegraphy #3 in Madrid on Tour through Spain 2013, WPGA Pollux Award First Place, exhibitions in Atlanta, NYC, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Boulder, CO, Texas Photographic Print Program, and the Center for Fine Art Photography just to name a few. Her most recent awards include First Place Cell Phone WPGA, 2012 IPA First Place Award, 2012 Prix de la Photographie Fist Place as well as interviews with CNN. Karen teaches creative iPhone classes and will teach at the Santa Fe Workshops in March 2013.
